The Aluprof Bifold door gives you the freedom to open large patio doors over the full length, allowing you to more or less completely eliminating the barrier between in- and outdoors. It can be used to create an excellent, expansive way out onto a patio or to link a restaurant or café with the outdoor spaces it uses seasonally.
The ALUPROF MB-86 FOLD LINE HD is a solution which provides plenty of comfort in its daily use. At the same time, it not only features high technical parameters, but also makes it possible to create large-scale structures. The bifold doors can open outwards or inwards and the panels can be configured as desired. This state-of-the-art product is designed to meet the exhaustive demands of users, architects and developers alike.
The MB-86 Fold-Lie system is featuring very good thermal and acoustic insulation properties as well as tightness to water penetration and air infiltration. The system meets all the requirements relating to energy saving and environmental protection. - The structural depth of profiles equals 86 mm (frame), 77 mm (leaf), 77, 86, 137 mm (threshold). Such depths of profiles give the effect of unbroken surface between the frame and leaf on one side after closing the door, and alignment of leaves with each other on both sides.
- The 3-chambered profiles for the central section are fitted with thermal breaks with a width of 24 mm for the frames and 34 mm for the panels, contributing to the structure’s high thermal performance
- The custom-designed hardware guarantees that door panels weighing up to 120 kg can be operated with ease
- Heat transfer coefficients Uf of frames in folding doors attain excellent values, placing this system among unquestionable market leaders in this category.
- It is available as a corner or panoramic structure and can be assembled with up to eight panels
- High tightness to water penetration and air infiltration, as well as excellent thermal insulation performance has been possible to achieve due to the special shape of closing gaskets (compression seal) and glazing gaskets.
- Glazing gaskets are fitted as continuous stripping, without any corner trimming. The ends of gaskets are joined at mid-length of the top rail of the leaf frame. Closing gaskets (compression seals) are trimmed at the angle of 45º and glued in the corners or trimmed at the angle of 90º and glued to a rubber end or a corner cleat. Such manner of gasket fitting guarantees very high tightness to water penetration and air infiltration.
- Glazing strips of the closed shape, both in the Standard and Prestige versions allow for secure installation of infills, which significantly facilitates fabrication of burglar-proof constructions. Positioning strips made of EPDM are fitted in the said glazing strips, which makes it easier to fit strips in the door or window frame.
- Internal glazing gaskets are deep-fitted in glazing strips, that is why they are hardly visible from the outside.
- Allowable thickness of glass panels ranges from 13.5 to 61.5 mm. Such a wide glazing range allows for the installation of all types of two-chamber, sound proof or burglar-proof glass panels available on the market.
- Application of dedicated hardware with a concealed driving set significantly adds to the visual aspect of the structure.
- Drainage of profiles may be either hidden or may come with a decorative cap.
- Compound profiles used in the MB-86 Fold Line system may be subjected to the process of powder coating or anodic oxidation.
- The technology of fabrication of the construction is simplified as much as possible, hence high time efficiency is achieved in door and window fabrication.
- Maximum and minimum dimensions of folding door leaves:
Hs max=2.7 m,
Ls min =0.7m, Ls max=1 m.
Maximum leaf weight - 100-120 kg. - It features the widest range of threshold solutions, including one which provides a weatherstrip and another which offers a low threshold for even more user comfort
- The MB-86 Fold Line system is compatible with other systems manufactured by Aluprof, especially with the MB-86 system. That is why a great number of elements may be applied in more than one system, e.g. glazing strips. gaskets, hardware and most accessories.
